One of our favorite treatments in our toolkit is called the HALO™️, a powerful and revolutionary treatment that uses TWO different wavelengths (ablative and non-ablative) to help address a variety of skin concerns but with less downtime than traditional laser treatments (like CO2 and Fraxel) found elsewhere.
What skin concerns does HALO™ address?
HALO™️ treats a wide range of common skin concerns, including:
- Sun damage/dyschromia
- Signs of aging
- Enlarged pores
- Discoloration
- Fine lines
- Poor texture
- Light scars
- Uneven tone
We can treat face, neck, and decolette. Treatment 1-2 times per year is recommended for optimal results.

How does HALO™ treatment work?
HALO™️ triggers your body’s natural healing response, improving skin texture and clarity for all skin types. The ablative-wavelength laser creates “micro-injuries” to the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production. The non-ablative wavelength laser delivers heat deep beneath the skin to further encourage collagen production, for a skin-tightening effect.
HALO™️ is a noninvasive treatment with minimal discomfort. We use numbing cream and the laser’s built-in cooling feature to keep you comfortable during treatment. The procedure itself takes 30-45 minutes, and skin will appear fully healed within 7 days. (Makeup can be worn the day after treatment to cover residual redness or speckled “coffee grounds” appearance that will disappear on its own within a week.)
What Makes HALO™ better than CO2 or Fraxel?
Unlike HALO™️, Fraxel uses only the non-ablative wavelength, meaning it stimulates less collagen and elastin production than HALO™️. HALO™️ provides greater results than a non-ablative laser alone can, targeting both skin layers but with less downtime than a strictly ablative-wavelength treatment.
CO2 is the most common ablative-wavelength treatment used elsewhere. Like Fraxel, it targets only one skin layer. Because CO2 treatment focuses solely on creating the “micro-injuries” we mentioned earlier, it is a more uncomfortable treatment, with more downtime. We like HALO™️ because it gives our patients the best of both worlds (ablative and non-ablative treatment) with minimal discomfort and downtime.
