Jenny Harrison is a nurse practitioner at Premier Skin Clinic and expert in hormone replacement therapies, laser vaginal rejuvenation, and hair restoration. She is also certified and trained in administering our Man Shot and Woman Shot.
In addition to being a board certified nurse practitioner, Jenny holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Sports Medicine. She has over 20 years of healthcare experience, in fields including: aesthetics, nephrology, and chronic pain management.
Jenny – along with her two labradors – is an avid runner on our Colorado trails. She is passionate about her physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing and spending time with her family.
Jenny sat for an interview to discuss her role at Premier and how her experiences in other fields of medicine have shaped her approach at our clinic.
Q: What is your role at Premier?
I am a nurse practitioner. I manage hormone replacement therapies, like bioTE and pelleting, and I perform laser vaginal rejuvenation and hair restoration.
Q: When and how did you start working for Premier Skin Clinic?
I was working at a spa previously, back in 2017. I didn’t feel like I had a nurse practitioner role – I wanted something more specific. I was really interested in pelleting. One of my friends who previously worked at Premier Skin Clinic told me about an opening. Now, I’ve been here since 2019.
Q: Why would you recommend Premier Skin Clinic to those looking for skincare products and medical procedures?
[Owners] Julie and Timo do a lot of investigative work with their products and lots of testing. We believe in our products and see results. Our Reveal Imager camera is a great technology and gives us a good idea about what could work best for you. We take an individual approach for each client, and our treatment options are individualized.
Q: What are some common misconceptions about medical spas?
A lot of people don’t understand exactly what med spas do. They don’t understand products or differences between different types of treatments, such as injections. People get confused about the different treatment modalities we offer. So, it’s great that they can come in for a free consultation and we can get them under the Reveal Imager and get that specialized treatment.
Q: What do you like best about your job?
I’m definitely a social person. I love getting to know people and getting to know what’s really bothering them and treating that. I think that what I do, specifically, has really revolutionized people’s feeling of wellness and wellbeing with the bioTE and hormone therapies. I believe in that product, so it’s nice that I’m confident in the product and we have great results which makes me feel good as a provider. I know I’m doing the right thing.
Also, people who come to a med spa really want to be there. They really want to see us. It’s an open and inviting spa; it’s beautiful. It’s about believing in what you offer to clients and getting the feedback that you’re changing lives. It makes me believe in what I do.
Q: What product or service could you NOT live without?
Probably Botox injections and facials. BBL laser therapy I highly recommend as well, for maintenance twice a year. Facials I recommend every 6 weeks.
We take pride in taking care of our skin. It’s the largest organ in our body, and it’s what people see. It’s important to take care of ourselves as part of that image of Premier Skin Clinic.
Q: What are you most excited about in 2022? Any new skincare trends we should know about?
I work at a pain management clinic certain days of the week, and I recruit a lot of pain patients for bioTE hormone therapy. I have some pain clinic patients I’ve just recently pelleted, and I’m really excited to see their results.
I’ve seen great results in past pain clinics. I have a quadraplegic, a paraplegic, people who have reason to have serious pain, and our treatment here makes a big difference in their bone and joint pain. If I can do something to improve their pain even a little bit, that is very rewarding and makes a big difference in their lives.
I had someone tell me a month ago that I changed her life and that the treatment I provided was the best thing that’s ever happened to her. Just hearing those things really makes my job worthwhile.
